    "body": "## Summary\n\n`read_authors()` does not preserve alternate-script meeting names linked to MARC field `111` through field `880`.\n\nThe parallel corporate-name branch (`110`/`710`) follows subfield `$6` links and preserves both name representations using `name` and `alternate_names`.\n\nHowever, the meeting-name branch reads only the `111` field's `a`, `c`, `d`, and `n` subfields, without resolving its linked `880` field.\n\nAs a result, an explicitly linked alternate-script meeting name is omitted from the extracted author data.\n\n## Version and environment\n\n- Repository: https://github.com/internetarchive/openlibrary\n- Checked commit: `6d66f877b83af3d4557d766f4f156165add8e405` (source checked on 2026-10-25).\n- Linux; Python 3.14.5 and the checkout’s test requirements. The parsing checks use luqum 0.11.0. Building psycopg2 requires PostgreSQL development headers/pg_config; our reproduction environment used the same-version psycopg2-binary distribution instead.\n\n## Expected behavior\n\nWhen a MARC `111` meeting-name field is linked to an `880` alternate-script representation through subfield `$6`, `read_authors()` should preserve both name representations.\n\nThis should be consistent with the existing handling of linked `880` fields for corporate names. The difference arises from the event-name branch not resolving the `$6` linkage.\n\n## Scope of the evidence\n\nActual MARCXML and author-reader components with linked records.
